Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Jacksonville, FL. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide courteous service to employees and visitors during night shifts.

The role requires at least 6 months in security, a high school diploma, and background/drug screening. The schedule runs Sun-Thu 11 PM–7 AM, with driving requirements for certain posts. Allied Universal offers training, benefits, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a food and beverage production or distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and assist with controlling entry and exit of personnel, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, access records, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
