Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for access control in Fort Myers, FL. The role involves safeguarding clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors, managing entry points, verifying credentials, assisting visitors, and patrolling to deter incidents.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Candidates should be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles, with a HS diploma or equivalent and background/drug screenings as required.

• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and communicating observations to relevant personnel.
• Perform regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue – 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed – 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur – 02:00 PM - 08:30 PM
• Fri – 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat – 09:00 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access to technology, media, and telecommunications facilities by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entry, maintaining access records, and reporting access discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
