Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a patrol and access screening role at our Jacksonville, FL site. You will monitor access points, perform routine patrols, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The position offers day-time shifts with a 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM schedule and requires at least 6 months of security experience, plus a valid driver's license for driving positions if applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while following site security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials and observing traffic; report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and communicate findings.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Screening in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and visitor access processes, assist with screening activities, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and reporting unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, package or vehicle-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced operational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
