Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for TWIC document screening in Norfolk, VA. You will welcome guests, screen passengers and belongings, operate screening equipment, and respond to incidents, all while maintaining a secure environment.

The role emphasizes flexible, part-time scheduling with weekend shifts and opportunities for career growth within a leading security services provider.

Competenze

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• TSA-issued TWIC required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

You will screen individuals and belongings, monitor access points, use screening technology, and communicate professionally while helping to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, crew members, visitors, and/or clients by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen passengers, carry-on items, baggage, and/or personal belongings in accordance with established access-control and prohibited-item procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections to identify items that may require additional review or escalation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned terminal, embarkation, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
