Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify store contacts or responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and document incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and directions during busy periods.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate store contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter theft and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and document incidents and observations according to site‑specific procedures.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and customer direction during busy periods, special events, and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
