Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observer in Jonestown, PA to monitor, deter and report on security incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

As a part-time unarmed officer, you will perform patrols, observe activity, control access points, and respond to incidents in a retail environment. You will document observations and work with a team that values integrity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, retail associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
