Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Customer Service Patrol in Christiansburg, VA. You will protect clients in a retail environment, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a visible security presence across the site.

Qualifications

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 05:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 05:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail store environment.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, access concerns, property damage, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and documentation of incidents, patrols, and security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
