Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and shoppers while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and contact emergency services as directed by protocols.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and assist with access control and visitor direction.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and/or shoppers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as directed by established protocols.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and assist with access control, visitor direction, and customer service needs as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
