Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Atlanta, GA to safeguard clients across various government locations. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. The schedule includes Tue–Sat shifts, focusing on protecting people and property in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and document actions.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related observations.

• Tue: 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Wed: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
