Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks an Armed Security Officer for a government location in Atlanta, GA. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining logs and reports.

The role requires armed credentials, strong communication, and adherence to site policies; 21+ years old with a valid driver license for driving positions may apply. Full-time hours and competitive pay offered.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• CPO certification required.
• Armed role requires minimum age of 21 and valid firearms permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter boundaries to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain logs and reports of security-related activities and incidents.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and emergency services as appropriate.
• Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with laws and site-specific policies.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon – 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM
• Tue – 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM
• Wed – 01:30 PM - 05:30 PM
• Thur – 11:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Fri – 11:00 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess CPO certification.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
