Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of security experience and a valid driver's license; CPR/First Aid is a plus. Pay is $17.50/hour with a dynamic day schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by following site procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct guests to government offices or services.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and patrol observations and communicate information to site leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with directing guests to appropriate government offices or services.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, unusual occurrences, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
