Job summary

Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Verification to monitor and safeguard government locations, provide exceptional customer service, and enforce access control. You will patrol assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Hours include varied day/evening shifts, with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. The role requires at least one year of security experience, HS diploma, and background check; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned access points; verify credentials and direct visitors in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs for patrol activities, incidents, visitor access, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
