Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer for a patrol role in Atlanta, GA. You will protect government facilities, deter incidents, and deliver strong customer service while maintaining a professional presence on site. The position is full-time with a daytime schedule and competitive hourly pay.

You will monitor access points, conduct patrols, document incidents, and respond calmly to emergencies. A background screen, drug test, and required licenses may apply.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing may be required in some states.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and security-related observations.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
