Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a patrol/entry management role in Sterling, VA. You will protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors, perform access control, and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

Position is full-time with a pay rate of $23.18 per hour. You will work a consistent evening schedule and be responsible for incident response, logs, and site compliance, supporting a welcoming environment and community safety.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, data center-related areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and in accordance with site-specific procedures.

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
