Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Patrol Access Control in Sterling, VA. You will serve and safeguard clients across various industries, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible, professional security presence.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience and high school diploma; CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

• At least 1 year of security-related experience required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm or camera systems; report irregularities and follow site escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to security-related concerns, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.18 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm or camera systems; report irregularities and follow site escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
