Job summary

Allied Universal in Visalia, CA seeks a Security Officer Patrol (unarmed) to monitor banking areas, deter incidents, and support access control while delivering professional customer service. You will conduct patrols, verify credentials, and report incidents per site protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• A drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking locations, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain incident/patrol/visitor records.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and leadership while reporting observations and policy violations.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and visitor records.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership while reporting observed conditions and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
