Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer for full-time, unarmed access patrol in San Jose, CA. You will monitor and protect a financial institution, perform routine patrols, manage access control, and respond to alarms while delivering professional customer service.

We require at least 2 years of security-related experience, high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Shift schedule includes nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Patrol in SAN JOSE, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control functions. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and respond to alarms or other security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
