Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials as directed and document incidents.
• Communicate with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security matters.

Job Description

As a Security Officer ank Patrol in PalmSprings, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and alarm activity, and provide professional customer service. You will support a secure environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
