Job summary

Allied Universal in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Security Officer - Security Operations Dispatcher to monitor alarms, access controls, and security systems while coordinating responses at a financial institution location.

You will document events, dispatch responders, and maintain clear communications, ensuring a professional, safe environment for employees and visitors during day-time shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, cameras, and other communication systems; dispatch personnel and/or notify appropriate contacts in accordance with established procedures.
• Document calls for service, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related information accurately and promptly in required logs and reporting systems.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant details to site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, reporting unusual conditions or security concerns.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
