Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is seeking a part-time Security Officer Screening Support to help safeguard clients in various industries. You will screen people, packages, and vehicles, maintain a professional presence, and deliver excellent customer service on site.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen where permitted by law. Flexible shifts around logistics and distribution sites are available.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, cargo, and/or individuals in accordance with established site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and report prohibited items, irregularities, damaged packages, and suspicious activity to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
