Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Screening Control in Ontario, CA. You will screen people, packages, and materials, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence and reporting unusual activity.

This position requires a valid drivers license, a background check, and a drug screen. Role includes a defined night-shift schedule and full-time hours at a logistics location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of security-related experience.
• Valid drivers license required in the state where the job is located.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and materials entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of personal items, shipments, and vehicles; report prohibited or suspicious items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, loading areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
