Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Screening Inspection to join a dynamic logistics and distribution environment. You will screen personnel, visitors, and materials, control access points, and maintain a safe, orderly site while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years in security-related work. You’ll support incident response, conduct patrols, and uphold company procedures to protect people

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and personal items in accordance with established procedures, using assigned screening equipment and documenting prohibited or unauthorized items when applicable.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry into restricted operational areas, and direct visitors and vendors to appropriate check-in locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed by established procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.


• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
