Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Screening Compliance in Ontario, CA. You will screen personnel and packages, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers.

This role requires at least 2 years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma. A background check and drug screening will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license in the job location.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and/or personal items according to procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify entry credentials to support controlled access to areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, document observations, and report security concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and/or personal items in accordance with established procedures for a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry credentials to help support controlled access to operational areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, business operations, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
