Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at our Deer Park, TX location to provide customer service, manage access control, and perform patrols at a chemical/petrochemical site. This role supports site operations while upholding safety and quality standards. The position requires a TSA-issued TWIC and a valid driver’s license.

You should be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Shifts run day and evening; a $1,000 hiring bonus is included.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Criminal histories considered per law.
• Drug screen may be required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials, visitor authorization, contractor documentation, and entry requirements.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and communications equipment, and promptly report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
