Allied Universal in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Security Officer - 225 to protect client sites in chemical/petrochemical facilities. The role involves managing access points, verifying credentials, supporting badge processes, and maintaining a visible security presence.

The position requires a TSA-issued TWIC and a valid driver’s license; shifts run nights, full-time, with a $15.50 per hour rate and a $1,000 hiring bonus. Training, advancement, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors and contractors, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency personnel while supporting security-related operations.
