Allied Universal® in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a refinery location. You will provide security, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include: valid driver’s license in the job location state.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and following site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and incidents calmly and report appropriately.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, documenting visitors, and reporting unusual activity.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and patrol records as required by site.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and site operations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and TSA-issued TWIC. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting unusual activity through established channels.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
