Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Patrol Driver Site Support. You will patrol the site, deter incidents, assist employees and visitors, and respond to alarms while maintaining a helpful, professional presence.

This role offers flexible day schedules, part-time status, and opportunities to learn our shift-claim platform. A valid driver's license and strong customer service are preferred; physical readiness required.

• Must be able to operate a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and media location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and shift documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, guests, and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
