Job summary

Allied Universal in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to protect client sites at our technology location. You will monitor access, perform patrols, and respond to incidents in a professional manner.

The schedule is set Mon-Wed 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with opportunities for additional shifts. Prior security or customer service experience and a guard card are preferred, along with CPR certification and high school diploma.

Qualifications

• possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and following established entry and exit procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other security-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
