Job summary

Allied Universal, Santa Clara, CA, seeks a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor site, deter incidents, and provide customer service. You will perform patrols, control access, and maintain a welcoming environment while upholding protocols.

You will respond to alarms, complete logs, and communicate clearly with team members to ensure safety and seamless operations at the tech/location site.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and promptly.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
