Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Milpitas, CA. You will monitor and protect clients across tech, media, and telecom sites, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and support a welcoming environment.

You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, respond to security concerns, and document activities using our digital tools. This role offers flexible part-time schedules, including day and weekend shifts, with a pay rate of $25

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, building perimeter, and other designated areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.
