Allied Universal in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to vigilantly monitor property, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service. Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access‑control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
