Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for the Herndon, VA area. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors while maintaining a professional presence on site.

This role requires basic computer or tablet usage, adherence to site procedures, and the ability to respond calmly to incidents. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and personnel at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances and parking facilities.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Document observations and patrol activities through accurate reports and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Logging in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and personnel at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
