Allied Universal in Waynesboro, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Patrol Access Control. You will monitor clients, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting access control at an aerospace/defense location.

Responsibilities include routine patrols, badge verification, incident reporting, and responding to alarms. Minimums: HS diploma, background check, drug screen; CPR preferred; 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed) and a valid driver's license for driving

You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $23.69 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas at an aerospace and defense location, helping to identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site requirements; document visitor activity and report access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
