Allied Universal in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor and protect a healthcare location, provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff, and uphold site procedures.

You will perform regular patrols, manage access, respond calmly to incidents, and keep accurate logs. This role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to grow within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer or tablet literacy preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify visitor access according to site procedures; and maintain accurate activity, incident, and shift documentation.
• Assist with maintaining a welcoming, orderly environment by providing directions, addressing concerns, and reporting security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

This role monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, responds to concerns, and delivers exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:45 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 10:45 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
