Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Reston, VA. You will patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location.

• Monitor access control points and verify credentials as required, documenting entries, exits and observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and according to procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally, respond to routine concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document entries, exits, and security-related observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear reports and promptly communicate security-related concerns, incidents, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
