Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Austin, TX. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, deter incidents, and support access control with a focus on customer service and clear communication within a welcoming environment.

Position type is Part Time with a pay rate of $22.28 per hour. Schedule includes DayTime, Friday 4:30 PM–12:30 AM; Saturday and Sunday evenings. Allied Universal emphasizes teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a telecommunications and technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns, and document incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
