Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer. You'll patrol and monitor client sites, deter incidents, and assist with access control while delivering excellent customer service. The position offers flexible DayTime shifts and a pay rate of $22.28 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity and incident reports and patrol documentation with professional communication.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with employees, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
