Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a tech/telecom location by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and access points.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, structured manner.
• Document patrols, incidents, and shift activities through reports.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Data Center Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while using technology to document observations and support site operations. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining controlled entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities through accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
