Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, KS to provide front-line protection and service for a technology, media, and telecom location. You will monitor areas, perform patrols, manage access points, verify credentials, and respond calmly to incidents following our procedures.

This role emphasizes customer service, visibility, and adherence to site policies while supporting a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background checks will be conducted as required by law.
• All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of criminal history.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws; driving lic. only for driving positions.

• Document observations and incidents, and communicate information to leadership and client representatives.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM
• Sat 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit processes.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
