Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Driver in De Soto, KS. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide exceptional service while supporting our drive/claim shifts platform.

Requirements include a minimum of 1 year in security, a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience required.
• A valid driver’s license required by Allied Universal policy.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site policies.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization; document entries and incidents.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facility, offices, parking, and perimeter.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and escalate as needed.
• Deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruption through professional presence and reporting.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate entry, exit, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive activity through professional presence, observation, and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
