Qualifications

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Control in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service. You will contribute to security-related operations while embodying Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• Wed: 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• Sat: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
• Sun: 02:45 PM - 11:15 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain accurate visitor records, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and shift activities while maintaining professional communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
