Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a New York, NY location. You will provide protective services, monitor access, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

As part of our team, you will work with government social services clients, follow site procedures, and participate in emergency response activities. A valid NY Security Guard License and experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized persons or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when required.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do
