Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff and individuals accessing the location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, common spaces, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify authorization and direct individuals to appropriate areas when needed.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to established procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
