• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Notification in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service while reflecting Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building perimeters, entrances, common areas, and exterior grounds to help identify and report unusual conditions.


• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain an orderly environment for residents, visitors, and staff.


• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.


• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
