Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Hold CPR Certification, preferred.
• Hold CPR/First Aid Certification, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and program participants by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Help maintain a welcoming and professional environment for individuals receiving services while communicating observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
