Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and program participants by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor logs, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Prepare clear incident reports and daily activity logs for site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and program participants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor logs, and report suspicious activity or unauthorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate relevant observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
