Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Awareness Security Officer in New York, NY. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to protect clients and visitors at a government location.

Day-time and evening shifts are available with a full-time schedule; the role requires a NYS Security Guard license and a minimum of one year security experience. Join a team-focused, community-oriented employer.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization in accordance with site procedures and document entries, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed.
• Maintain a professional presence at a government human-services location while supporting a respectful environment for individuals accessing services.
