As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver in Towerly, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies.
• Maintain awareness of access points and restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and document observations, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.
• Operate assigned equipment responsibly and maintain required firearms qualifications, licenses, and training while performing duties in a government corrections environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
