Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Boca Raton. The role offers a flexible, dependable option to supplement income or pursue a full-time security career with a leading provider.

Pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The position supports a fixed Friday–Saturday shift with potential for additional shifts via the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Responsibilities include visitor management, patrols, access control, and incident reporting.

• Sixth month commitment for the designated site is required.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access and report incidents or maintenance concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with emergency services as needed.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report security‑related incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site protocols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
