Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC. You will provide customer service and conduct armed patrols to deter incidents at a government location, while upholding Allied Universal’s caring culture.

This role offers a flexible schedule with shifts on Thursdays and Fridays, and pays $21.50 per hour. A valid driver’s license and armed security experience are required, with licensing preferred and a background check and drug screen as

Qualifications

• 6 months armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas.
• Monitor access and activity, report unusual conditions, and deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow established protocols.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and communications with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas.
• Monitor access and activity, report unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and communications with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
